    edit: Dothackers is once again accepting donations to help cover the next .hack//G.U. The World magazine. Those who donate $1.00 or more will get the scans of the magazine a couple of days before they get posted on the website (via e-mail).     Mark your calendars, folks; .hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Resurrection will be released in Japan on May 18th, 2006, holding a price tag of 7,140 yen (roughly $61.50 USD). At this point, there is no official date for North America, but keep checking back for updates.

    New //G.U. Arena System details and Yuki Kajiura //Roots OP single

    The .hack//Roots opening single 「Silly-Go-Round」 composed by Yuki Kajiura will be released on May 10th in Japan. The new .hack anime is scheduled to start airing in Japan on April 5th.

    Also, CC2 recently released some more screens and information on the Arena battle system, seen here. Currently, there are two types of battles: "Remitt," which seems to mean unremitting (constant; unceasing; incessant) and "Survival." These battles will take place in the Omega Server root town, Lumina Cross, and will have a 3-on-3 limit.



    When a battle is won, a "Winning Piece," or WP, is awarded. We're not too sure what, exactly, the WP's will be used for, but they seem to be used as points and may involve ranking. Also, a new skill trigger is mentioned: the "hangeki," or counter-attack, trigger. As soon as we receive more details on Arena battles, we'll post them. Until then, stay tuned!
